THERE was a girl named Valliammai who was called Valli for short. She was eight years old and very curious about things. Her favourite pastime was standing in the front doorway of her house watching what was happening in the street outside. There were no playmates of her own age on her street and this was about all she had to do. But for Valli standing at the front door was every bit as enjoyable as any of the elaborate games other children played. Watching the street gave her many new unusual experiences. The most fascinating thing of all was the bus that travelled between her village and the nearest town. It passed through her street each hour, once going to the town and once coming back. The sight of the bus, filled each time with a new set of passengers was a source of unending joy for Valli. Day after day she watched the bus and gradually a tiny wish creot into her head and grew there she wanted to ride on that bus even if just of just once.

Je started working at a young age. He sold tamarind seeds and newspapers to support his family. After completing his schooling at the Rameshwaram Elementary school kalam went to attend saint Joseph college in Tiruchirappalli. The college was affiliates to the University of Madras from where he graduated in physics in 1954. He specialised in aero Engineering from Madras institute of technology ( MIT). Dr. Abdul kalam was a great scientist. He was made the chancellor of the Institute of space science and technology. He worked in Defence Research and Development Organisation ( DRDO ) in 1958 and then joined Indian space research organisation ( ISRO) in 1963. He made significant contribution to Indian sayellits and also in the missile programme of DRDO as a Project director of SLV-III , he contributed to the development and management of India first indigenous sayellits launch vehicle .

The house the only one in the entire Valley sat on the crest of a low hill. Form this height one could see the river and the field of rope corn dotted with the flowers that always promised a thousand the morning Lencho who knew his fields intimately had done nothing else but see the sky towards the north east. Now we really going to get some water woman. The woman who was preparing supper replied yes god willing the older boys were working in the field while the smaller ones were playing near the house until the woman called to them all come for dinner it was during the meal that just as Lencho had predicted big drops of rain began to fall. In the north east huge mountains of clouds could be seen approaching the air was fresh and sweet. The man went out for no other reason than to have the pleasure of feeling the rain on his body and when he returned he explained these aren't raindrops falling from the sky they are new coins. The big drops are ten cent pieces and the little ones are fives with a satisfied expression he regerded the field of rope corn with its flowers draped in a curtain of rain. But suddenly a strong wind began to blow and along with the rain very large hailstones began to fall. These truly did resemble new silver coins. The boys exposing themselves to the rain out to collect the frozen pearls.

Rakesh was very excited. It was vacation was about to begin he walked back home cheerfully. As soon as he reached home he put his bag in a corner and ran towards his brother room. Rakesh don disturb your bother his exame are not yet over his mother said Rakesh returned to his room sadly. His brother Mukesh was preparing for the board exam. His parents did not want Mukesh to be disturbed A little later his mother called out Rakesh Yes mother he answered and rushed to her room what is it mother he asked curiously the table lamp in Mukesh room is not working he needs it Go and call the electrician she said. Mother can Mukesh fix it himself he is so good at it Rakesh said Dot argue Rakesh. Do as you are told she said sternly overheating this conversation Mukesh came out and said oh mother please let me try it will not take more than half an hour. No don waste your time Go and study she said firmly Quietly Mukesh retired to his room but could not concentrate on his studies. He was eager to use his electrical tool kit. Mukesh had selected each tool with utmost care he kept looking at it. He could not control himself and finally got up to fix the lamp. By the time Rakesh returned Mukesh had already repaired the lamp. Wow Mukesh you are brilliant. I knew you would be able to do it exclaimed Rakesh sorry for the trouble Mr. Yadav the work is already done said the mother to the electrician I am sure Mukesh must have done it you already have an expert electrican at home Mr. Yada said and left with a smile. Now stop wasting your time and get back to your studies mother told Mukesh. On the day of the announcement of results Mukesh went to school with his parents. Mukesh had topped his class.                       Mother.  : Now it with be easy for you to get admission in a good college.                                Mukesh. : mother I don want to go to a college. Father I want to join a course that can help me to take up my hoppy as my profession.                     The next day he went to the Technical Training Institute with his father. There he got admission in the course of his choice. A couple of years later.. Everyone looked cheerful as they walked out of the house. Mukesh had set up a new shop and they were going for its inauguration. At the inaugural ceremony Mukesh asked Rakesh to come forward and cut the ribbon Everyone clapped and wished Mukesh good luck.

Finally in 1856 the company also took over awadh this time the British had an added argument they said they were obliged by duty to take over awadh in order they to free the people from the misgovernment of the nawab enraged by the humiliating way in which the Nawab was deposed the people of awadh joined the great revolt that broke out in 1857.

With their defeat in the third battle of Panipat in 1761 the Marathas dream of ruling from Delhi was shattered they were divided into many states under different chies sardars belonging to dynasties such as sindhia holkar Gaikwad and bhonsle these chiefs were held together in a confederacy under a peshwa principal Minister who became its effective military and administrative head based in Pune mahadji sindhia and nana phadnis were two famous maratha soldiers and statesmen of the late eighteenth century. The marathas were subdued in a series of were in the first war that ended in 1782 with the Treaty of salbai there was no clear victor  the second anglo maratha war 1830 -05 was fought on different fornats resulting in the British gaining orissa and the territories north of the yamuna river including agra and Delhi finally the Third anglo maratha war of 1817_19 crushed maratha power the peshwa was removed and sent away to bithur near ka pur with a pension the company now had complete control over the territies south of the vindhyas.
