Kathleen mansfield born on 14th October,1888 was a prominent new zealand modernist short story write and poet who was bron and brought up in colonial new zealand .she was a rebel and a modernist who lived her short life of 34 years to the full.in 1911, her first published collection of short stories in a German Pension was received with success. Mansfield entered into her most prolific period of writing after 1916 which began with several stories .she died on 9th January,1923 in france,
